Kelso & Tweed supporting Denholm Rainbows and Brownies

On Friday 19th September, The Hawick Lodge No. 111 hosted a Quiz Night in support of the 1st Denholm Rainbows and Denholm Brownies. Kelso & Tweed entered two teams, with Brother Colin Cook, from their sister Lodge in the town, acting as quizmaster for the evening. A total of eleven teams competed across seven rounds, with Lodge St. James BURA No. 424 emerging as the winners and Kelso & Tweed taking a respectable second place.

Lodge Kelso and Tweed made a total donation of £250 coming from the Lodge itself and from individual members on the night. At the end of the evening an unbeatable sum of £1,050 was raised, which will secure the future of the Rainbows and Brownies in Denholm.

Lesley Aird, on behalf of Denholm 1st Rainbows and Bronwies, thanked eveyone for their support, saying that the generosity of Freemasonry was truely remarkable.
