Lodge Kelso & Tweed 58
Since 1701 - the oldest Fraternal Society in Kelso
On Sunday, 20th September 2026, Lodge Almoner Bro Darin Birmingham PM and Bro Tim Slater IPM were delighted to visit the ALL SORTS Theatre Group during rehearsals at the Abbey Row Centre in Kelso.
ALL SORTS is a new inclusive theatre group in the Scottish Borders, offering opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes for people with additional needs. Their aim is simple – doing it our way and creating fabulous performances for everyone to enjoy.
During their visit, Darin and Tim presented a cheque for £300 on behalf of Lodge Kelso & Tweed to Karen Anderson, the group’s Administrator. The donation will help the group with the costs of putting on their forthcoming production.
This year, ALL SORTS is rehearsing a brand-new pantomime, “The Wizard of Claus in Sparkle Land”, with performances also being used to raise funds for two fantastic local charities, Interest Link and Borders Youth Theatre.
The group is working hard to create the sets and costumes for the production and, like many community organisations, relies on donations and support from the local community. They are currently looking for items including paint, umbrellas and white sheets to help bring their colourful set to life.
Lodge Kelso & Tweed were delighted to support the fantastic work being carried out by ALL SORTS and wish everyone involved every success with the production.
We look forward to seeing “The Wizard of Claus in Sparkle Land” come to life and hearing all about what promises to be a wonderful performance!
