Kelso Wheelers Juniors received a significant boost thanks to a donation of £250 from Lodge Kelso & Tweed No. 58, further supplemented by £500 from the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Scottish Borders through its Borders Youth Support Scheme (BYSS).

The funding will support the continued development and expansion of the club’s Junior Section, providing young people in the Kelso area with safe, structured and inclusive opportunities to take part in cycling. The initiative aims to foster a lifelong enjoyment of the sport while promoting physical fitness, confidence and teamwork among children and teenagers.
This support will help deliver regular coaching sessions led by qualified volunteers, provide age-appropriate bikes and essential safety equipment, and assist young riders in taking part in local and regional events.
By investing in youth development, this contribution will help strengthen the local community, encourage healthy active lifestyles, and play an important role in securing the future of cycling in the Scottish Borders.
This partnership between Lodge Kelso & Tweed and the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Scottish Borders reflects a shared commitment to supporting initiatives that create lasting opportunities for young people across the Borders.
